Information Access Server: Learning the Administrator Utility

A : Setting Up Access Server

The lessons in this tutorial are the second stage of the five-stage
process of setting up (or updating) Access Server.

If you are taking this tutorial as part of setting up Access Server
(discussed fully in the "Before You Begin" section of the Information
Access Server: Planning and Configuring manual) here's a review of where
you are in the five-stage process:

Before you begin the hands-on exercises in this lesson, make sure you
have completed Stage 1 of the setting up process:

   * Have your System Manager install Access Server on the host HP
3000. Installation instructions are in Chapter 3 of the
Information Access Server: System Management manual.

   * We recommend that you then secure the Administrator Utility.
Instructions are in the "Before You Begin" section of the
Information Access Server: Planning and Configuring manual.

After you complete all six lessons, proceed to Stages 3, 4, and 5, in
which you'll plan a configuration for your system, adjust the data
dictionary if necessary, and configure Access Server according to your
plan.

Once Access Server is set up, others needing to learn the Administrator
Utility can use this manual on a stand-alone basis.
