NOTE Deleting a user is straightforward because user names are not part of any other definition. However, before you delete a definition that is used to derive another definition, you must be aware of the effect on those dependencies. (When you delete such an entity, a screen message will alert you to the dependencies and ask you to confirm the delete.) For example, deleting a database also deletes all tables associated with it, including IMAGE tables and view tables that draw any of their data from the deleted database. Deleting an access group may create a public table if the deleted access group is the only one assigned to that table. The "Deleting" sections in the Information Access Server: Database Administration manual discuss the possible dependencies and recommend actions that will preserve dependent entities or security.
