To identify the parts of a screen

Each HP Easytime/iX screen contains the following:

title bar A horizontal bar that is located at the top of each
screen and contains the name of the screen.

menu bar A horizontal bar located directly below the title
bar containing the names of the HP Easytime/iX
                      menus.

status line The third line on your screen (directly below the
menu bar). The status line displays messages from
the system that tell you when you need to do
something, for example, load a form in the printer.
The status line also displays the time the screen
                      was last updated.

list box A box listing available choices, for example, a
list of available files on the system.

message line The bottom line on your screen. Information about
what is happening on the system is displayed here.

function keys Along the top of the keyboard are eight keys
labeled F1 through F8. These function keys
correspond to the eight function key labels along
the bottom of each HP Easytime/iX screen.
