full-height server blades and their configurations in either an InfiniBand
configuration or a gigabit Ethernet configuration in a c7000 BladeSystem
enclosure. (Note: print this

| For the 24-port server blade InfiniBand switches, there are 16
downlinks and 8 uplinks on the switches. For single-density, half-height
server blades, there are 16 server blades in the enclosure utilizing all 16
internal ports (2:1 bandwidth DDR). For full-height server blades, there are
8 server blades in an enclosure using just 8 of the internal links and using
the 8 uplinks (1:1 bandwidth DDR). For double-density server blades, there
are 16 ServerA and 16 ServerB nodes. Only the ServerA or the ServerB nodes
will connect to a server blade InfiniBand switch, and you will need to have 2
server blade InfiniBand switches installed to allow all of the ServerA and
ServerB nodes to communicate (2:1 bandwidth DDR). |
