The ERASE command deletes a file.

Scope

ISQL only.

ISQL Syntax

ER [ASE] FileName

Parameters

FileName

identifies the file to be erased. Name qualification follows MPE/iX conventions: 

   FileName[/Lockword][.Group[.Account]]

Description

  • In prompting mode, ISQL prompts you for a file name, as shown here: 

       isql=> ERASE;

   File name> FileName;

   isql=>

Example

   isql=> ERASE Old;

   isql=>
