ALLBASE/NET uses a client/server architecture. The application runs on the client node and the ALLBASE/SQL DBEnvironment resides on the server node. The client and server are connected by a LAN (Local Area Network) or a WAN (Wide Area Network). A server node for one application can also be a client node for another application that accesses another DBEnvironment. In the illustration below, Node B is the server node for the application on Node A, and it is also a client node when accessing Node C. |
