The X.25 PVC Address Key Paths screen (#163) in Figure 7-9 “X.25 PVC Address Key Paths Screen” is displayed when you press the [Go To PVCPATH] function key at the General X.25 Configuration screen (Figure 7-5 “General X.25 Protocol Screen”). It is also displayed when you type the path name:

@NETXPORT.NI.NIname.PROTOCOL.X25.PVCPATH

in the Command window of any screen and press the [Enter] key, where NIname is a configured X.25 NI.

You may configure up to 128 PVC address keys under an X.25 NI, and if configuring multiple X.25 NI's, no address key can be used more than once per system.

Fields

X.25 address key

The X.25 address key is used to identify a remote node to which this node will communicate. The address key can have up to eight alphanumeric characters, the first of which must be alphabetic.

Default: None.

PVC number

The PVC number is a permanent virtual circuit number which identifies the remote host for the node you are configuring. This number must be in the PVC range you defined in the OpenView DTC Manager configuration. This is a required field if you defined a corresponding X.25 address key.
