Insight Orchestration is installed through the Insight Software integrated installer. When using Insight Software integrated installer to install Insight Orchestration, be sure to select all the required software and have the HP ProLiant Essentials Rapid Deployment Pack and SMTP parameters available to use during installation. For more information, see “Required software”.

  1. Insert the HP Insight Software DVD and follow the on-screen instructions, selecting the suites and components you want to install. During Insight Software installation, you can install Rapid Deployment Pack on this server or use an existing Rapid Deployment Pack server and configure Insight Orchestration.

  2. When the HP Rapid Deployment Pack installation options page displays, select one of the following:

      1. In Deployment Server Location: IP address or hostname, enter the IP address of your Rapid Deployment Pack server.

      2. In Username, enter the username used for logging in to Rapid Deployment Pack.

      3. In Password, enter the password used for logging in to Rapid Deployment Pack.

      5. Click Next.

When you click Next, the Insight Software installer tests your Rapid Deployment Pack connection. If the connection fails, check all fields and correct any errors.

  3. On the HP Insight Orchestration configuration page, enter the values for the SMTP server. These values are stored in HP Operations Orchestration and used by Insight Orchestration to send email for status changes, approval requests, and required manual tasks. When the HP Insight Orchestration configuration page appears, enter the following information:

    • For SMTP hostname, enter the IP address of the SMTP server.

    • For SMTP port, enter the port used by the SMTP server for incoming connections. The default SMTP port is 25. If you do not know the SMTP address, enter 25.

    • The SMTP Username and SMTP Password fields are only required if your SMTP server requires authentication. If it does, enter a valid username and password.

    • In the Mail From Address field, enter a valid email address. This address appears on all Insight Orchestration-initiated email and provides information so the recipient can identify the mail and resolve any issues regarding notification.

    • In the Mail To Address field, enter a valid email address that corresponds to a person or group that performs approvals and manual tasks. This is the address where Insight Orchestration sends requests for approvals and manual tasks.

If needed, you can modify these values using Operations Orchestration after installation is complete.

  4. Continue to follow the on-screen instructions until the installation is complete.
