  • The Insight Orchestration notification emails contain a URL that does not appear as a link in Microsoft Outlook 2003.  To resolve this issue, copy and paste the URL link into a browser

  • My VSE Storage Pool entry is not ready after following the Manual Storage Provisioning Instructions email.  The Storage Provision Notification email is incomplete and is missing the last step:

    8. For each Storage Pool Entry: In the Manage Server WWNs section, expand each port and select Ready. The storage pool entry is now ready for use by Insight Orchestration.

  • Where can I review the details of an error message?  Whenever an error message appears, you can review the error details in the Request details list on the Requests screen.

  • Insight Orchestration does not send email notifications to users assigned to, or unassigned from, a server pool.  Insight Orchestration cannot send will not send pool assignment notifications, and changing the oo.user.pool.notification.enabled = true setting in the hpio.properties file does not enable these notifications.

  • The Manual Storage Provisioning email states that I should add more data LUNs than are required.  You receive this email when adding a new server to an existing service and one or more of the following applies:

    • You added a server to a deployed server group using the Add a Server feature.

    • The servers in the selected group are connected to a shared data disk.

    • A manual storage provisioning action is required for the data disk.

If you receive this email, you must add the LUN information to both the new server and the existing servers. You only need to add the LUN information to the VSE storage pool entry for the new server.

  • Inactive Logical Servers error message appears in HP VSE.  You receive this message if a failure occurs during the delete process for any Logical Server created using Insight Orchestration. The affected logical servers are listed as Inactive Logical Servers on the VSE VMAN interface. When this situation occurs, VSE displays an error message when the Insight Orchestration icon is selected in the VMAN interface.
