The Online Disk procedure restores access to a disk that has been taken offline. The disk is made accessible to VxVM again. After bringing a disk back online, the disk must be added to a dynamic disk group before it can be used for volumes (see “Adding a Disk to VxVM”).

Procedure 3-4 To bring a disk online

  1. Select the disk to be brought online.

  2. Choose Actions > Online Disk.

  3. Enter Yes to confirm disk offline.

NOTE:

  • When a disk is brought online, the disk is accessible again.

  • Only disks in the offline state can be brought online.
