TasksRemoving a Disk from a Dynamic Disk Group |

You can remove a disk from a dynamic disk group if there are no volumes on the disk. If volumes exist, you must delete them before you can revert the disk. Disks shown in Volume Manager to be Unreadable as well as Foreign can be removed, but doing so causes you to lose all existing data on the disk that is removed from the group. If a disk has failed and is marked as Missing, you can also remove it from the dynamic disk group. To remove a disk from a dynamic disk group, use the Remove Disk from Dynamic Disk Group command.
