Enabling a Controller

The controller Enable procedure enables I/O to a controller. (If your system supports the DMP feature, and if DMP is enabled, then the Enable procedure also restores access to the paths associated with a controller.)

Procedure 3-13 To enable a controller

Select the controller to be enabled.
Choose Actions > Enable.

Complete the Enable Controller dialog box as follows:

Options

To enable all enclosures (disk arrays) associated with this controller, select All Enclosures.
To enable specific enclosures associated with this controller, enter the enclosure names in the Selected Enclosures field.

When you have provided all necessary information in the dialog box, click OK.
