VERITAS Volume Manager 3.5 User's Guide - VERITAS Enterprise Administrator: VERITAS Volume Manager™ 3.5 > Chapter 3 Disk
TasksDeporting Dynamic Disk Groups |
|
The Deport Dynamic Disk Group procedure makes a dynamic disk group and its volumes inaccessible. Once deported, a dynamic disk group cannot be used until it is imported. You can deport a dynamic disk group to make the dynamic disk group temporarily unavailable. While a dynamic disk group is deported, you cannot remove and reuse any of its disks. To remove disks, you must import the dynamic disk group and then either destroy the dynamic disk group (to remove all of its disks) or remove selected disks from the dynamic disk group.
