IMPORTANT: OL* functionality is only supported on HP-UX 11i for servers and PCI I/O adapters meeting the OLA/R support requirements. The following patches are required to support OLA/R with SCSI Ultra160 adapters on HP-UX 11i servers:

  • PHCO_25831

  • PHKL_25712 (or later)

In addition to the minimum requirements listed in the previous tables, the following table describes the latest recommended firmware versions available for your system. These patches contain additional enhancements and fixes to your system and also support HP-UX 11i functionality.

[1] Starting with firmware revsion 42.03, the software id (SWID) was calculated incorrectly. Firmware revision 42.19 corrects this error and calculates the SWID correctly. The incorrect SWID prevents the intallation of HP-UX 11.00 Predictive.

Workstation Firmware Updates

PHSS_26927 was released July 16, 2002 to reduce the internal fan speed of the B2600 workstation. To get the patch (and for further instructions), go to the HP IT Resource Center (ITRC), at http://itrc.hp.com.

PHSS_25983 was released on January 11, 2002 to correctly update workstation firmware when using an Ignite-UX server. To get the patch (and for further instructions), go to the HP IT Resource Center (ITRC), at http://itrc.hp.com.

Note that PHSS_24106 will automatically update PDC firmware on your workstation. This HP-UX patch is included in the HWEnable11i bundle, and is always installed on the workstation during a cold-install of any 11i OE.
