Cold-install HP-UX 11i v1— This method overwrites everything on the target disk. Use cold-install for new systems and on existing systems when overwriting the root (/) volume will not cause loss of applications or data. The process described in this guide cold-installs a single system from local media. If you plan to install many systems simultaneously, you should plan on using an Ignite-UX server.
