HP PAK No Longer Shipped

Beginning with the June 2000 release of the Hewlett-Packard C and C++ compilers, the HP Programmer's Analysis Kit (HP PAK) will no longer be bundled with the compilers. Customers on HP-UX Version 11.x are encouraged to use the HP CXperf performance analyzer to help improve the performance of their applications. For more information on HP CXperf, refer to the HP World Wide Web site, http://www.hp.com/go/CXperf/ or contact your HP sales representative.

NOTE: Customers who have earlier versions of HP PAK should be aware that Hewlett-Packard will not be making enhancements or performing additional maintenance on this tool.

HP Blink Link No Longer Shipped

Technology improvements in HP compilers, such as the +objdebug option, have superseded the benefits provided by HP Blink Link. For this reason, HP is removing Blink Link from the HP C and HP Fortran compiler bundles. HP will continue to support Blink Link until December 2001, however, no further enhancements are planned.
