HP OpenCall SS7 ISUP software supports the following base protocols:

  • ANSI

  • ITU-T

The current derived protocols are ITU88, ITU97, TTC, etc.

For each protocol, different message sets are supported.

For example:

  • the ANSI protocols support the ANSI-92 and ANSI-95 message sets

  • the ITU97 protocol supports the ITU-T93 and ITU-T97 message sets

The combination of a protocol and a message set is known as a flavor.
