The Telecom Signaling Card (TSC) provides the means of connecting an HP OpenCall SS7 platform to the signaling network. These cards can be accommodated in either:

  • a Telecom Signaling Unit (TSU) which connects to the host and to the signalling network

  • a host server with a PCI bus that can take TSCs directly. This is referred to as TSC-in-system .

A Telecom Signaling Card has four physical ports available for connection to the network. Each of these ports is assigned to one or more links. The number of possible links depends on the type of TSC used.
