Xserver

The Xserver product is a component of the X Window System. The Xserver product acts as an intermediary between client applications and local hardware and input devices.

Summary of Change

Delivered with the Hardware Enablement Patch Bundle (HWE) for the HP-UX 11i v2 March 2004 release, Xserver version B.11.23.01 contains support for multiple graphics cards.

Impact

You will be able to add an additional graphics card and configure it for use with your Xserver.

Machines Affected

Machines affected by the new support for multiple graphics devices are the hp Integrity zx2000, and the hp Integrity zx6000.

Compatibility

This functionality does not affect compatibility.

Performance

The additional support for multiple graphics devices does not affect performance.
