This section lists the resources needed and the software requirements for installing and running TOUR 2.0 on HP-UX 11i v1.

Supported Operating Systems

TOUR 2.0 is supported on the following 32- or 64-bit systems:

  • HP-UX 11i Version 1.0 (B.11.11) PA-RISC servers

  • HP-UX 11i Version 2.0 (B.11.23) Intel® Itanium® servers

Minimum System Resources for HP-UX 11i v1

HP-UX 11i v1TOUR 2.0 requires the following minimum amount of system resources:

  • The TOUR 2.0 depot file is ~4.5MB.

  • Disk Space used by installing TOUR 2.0: ~7.5 MB, allocated as:

    • /usr: ~ 7MB

    • /var: ~.5MB

    • /stand (a new kernel is built)

    Decrease Disk Usage if not interested in Mobile IPv6: If you are not interested in using the Mobile IPv6 product in TOUR 2.0, note that when you are installing TOUR 2.0, the Mobile IPv6 product is optional and may be deselected in an interactive swinstall session. This will lessen the /usr disk space usage by ~.5MB.

    NOTE: The disk space information listed in this section does not include the disk space requirements for prerequisite patches.

Prerequisite Software Patches for TOUR 2.0 on HP-UX 11i v1

TOUR 2.0 on HP-UX 11i v1, requires the following software:

  • March 2003 or later HP-UX 11i Support Plus (Quality Pack) (GOLDQPK11i) (B.11.11.0212.4 or later)

  • PHCO_24287 (or later)- patch for syslogd(1m)

  • PHNE_27796 (or later)- libnss_dns DNS backend patch

  • PHNE_28895 (or later)- cumulative ARPA Transport patch

  • PHKL_29696 (or later)- Needed for STREAMS Patch

  • PHNE_29825 (or later)- STREAMS patch

  • PHCO_29287 (or later)- libc cumulative patch

  • PHCO_29328 (or later) - libc manpage cumulative patch

  • PHNE_30450 (or later) - nettl patch for TOUR 2.0 (recommended, but not required for install)

You can retrieve patches from http://www.itrc.hp.com. Future versions of Support Plus (Quality Pack) (GOLDQPK11i) may include some of these patches. In this case, you will not have to retrieve the patches individually.

NOTE: If you’re upgrading to TOUR 2.0 from TOUR 1.0 the top 4 items in the above list (B.11.22.0212.4, PHNE_28895, PHCO_24287, and PHNE_27796), or later, will already be on your system.
