Configuring

ASE provides many kinds of LP model files which are designed
to be configured by sam(1m). To add, delete and maintain Asian printers with the
model files in /usr/lib/lp/model, refer to the Managing Printers section
of the Managing Systems and Workgroups manual.

To print Asian text on the printer, you may need to specify
the locale value for the lp command along with the text file. For example,
lp -oja_JP.eucJP text_file_written_in_Japanese_euc
The following table shows the supported locales in HP-UX 11i

The printer model files support a wide variety of options,
such as font selection and page control. Consult the model file
which is installed in /usr/lib/lp/model for more details.
Typically, the following model files are used for Asian printers:
