Use the mip6config commands described in this section to configure the mip6mod Binding Cache parameters. Refer to “mip6mod Binding Cache Parameters” for a description of each parameter. The mip6mod Binding Cache parameters include the following:

  • Max. Bindings

  • Max. Home Bindings

  • Max. Binding Lifetime

  • Refresh Advice Interval

  • Refresh Request Threshold

Configuring mip6mod Binding Cache Parameters: configure binding-cache

Use the configure binding-cache command to configure mip6mod Binding Cache parameters in Novice Mode.

Abbreviated:

co[nfigure] b[inding-cache]

Syntax:

configure binding-cache

Example:

mip6config> configure binding-cache
Max Bindings (10000): 50000
Max Home Bindings (10000): 50000
Max Binding Lifetime (210250): 150000
Binding Refresh Advice Interval (): 10000
Binding Refresh Request Threshold (): 300

Listing mip6mod Binding Cache Parameters: list binding-cache

Use the list binding-cache command to display mip6mod Binding Cache parameters.

Abbreviated:

l[ist] b[inding-cache]

Syntax:

list binding-cache

Example:

mip6config> list binding-cache

BINDING CACHE PARAMETERS
**********************************************************************
Max Bindings: 50000
Max Home Bindings: 50000
Max Binding Lifetime: 1500
Binding Refresh Advice Interval: 100
Binding Refresh Request Threshold: 30

Deleting mip6mod Binding Cache Parameters: delete binding-cache

Use the delete binding-cache command to delete mip6mod Binding Cache parameters. This command sets the Binding Cache as unconfigured (i.e., empty) by “commenting” the value in the configuration file. You must confirm you want to delete the Binding Cache parameters when prompted.

Abbreviated:

d[elete] b[inding-cache]

Syntax:

delete binding-cache

Example:

mip6config> delete binding-cache
Clear all binding cache parameters (yes/no)? (yes): yes
