HP-UX Mobile IPv6 A.01.00 provides mobility support for IPv6 on HP-UX 11i version 1 and version 2 by delivering the following server functionality

  • Correspondent Node support

  • Home Agent support

As described in “Mobile IPv6 Architecture” Home Agents support Mobile Nodes moving throughout IPv6 networks, and Correspondent Nodes are any system communicating or corresponding with Mobile Nodes.

The information in the following sections describe how to configure HP-UX 11i version 1 and version 2 servers as Mobile IPv6 Correspondent Nodes and Home Agents. Refer to the previous chapters in this guide for information about configuring the HP-UX Mobile IPv6 parameters that determine operation.

NOTE: Refer to the HP-UX IPSec A.02.00 Release Notes and Administrator’s Guide for information on configuring IPSec to secure Mobile IPv6 data-packets. Upon release of HP-UX IPSec A.02.00, these documents can be found at the Internet and Security Solutions page at http://www.docs.hp.com.
