The GUI can be accessed from any network client that is running a supported
Web browser. Refer to “Network Client Requirements and Recommendations” for a list of supported
browsers. Required Java Plug-in | |
When you navigate to the HP Systems Insight Manager GUI, it ensures
you have the correct version of the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed.
If you do not, it prompts you to install the correct version. When installing
the JRE, HP recommends that you select the Custom install option and deselect the options for this to be the default
Java runtime for Internet Explorer and Netscape. Failure to follow this configuration
can cause issues with other Web applications. | | | | | NOTE: To use Mozilla on Linux, you must register the Java plug-in. At a command
prompt, enter:
cd /usr/local/mozilla/plugins
mv libjavaplugin_oji.so libjavaplugin_oji.so.bak
ln -s /usr/java/j2re1.4.2_03/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/
libjavaplugin_oji.so
