Before You Begin

Your system meets the system requirements to install and operate HP-UX 11i v2. For more details see Chapter 2 “System Requirements for Cold-Installing and Updating”.

You have completed the preparation tasks required to cold-install your system. Most importantly, make sure you created an operating system recovery archive to protect your data in the event of a system crash. For more information see Chapter 4 “Preparing to Install or Update to HP-UX 11i v2”.

You have available networking information and other data that you need to collect as described in the section, “Before You Begin”.
