No upgrade path from HP XC System Software Version 1.0 to Version 3.0 is supported. To upgrade your existing Version 1.0 HP XC system to Version 3.0, you must perform a new installation and system configuration of your HP XC system.
If your system is currently running HP XC System Software Version 1.0, be aware that Version 3.0 offers new and enhanced features, including a simplified network hierarchy, which requires different wiring for nodes and different disk requirements. Consult the HP XC Hardware Preparation Guide for instructions on rewiring your hardware.
