[1] HP-UX Fibre Channel HBAs require that the Fibre Channel SAN maintains and guarantees in-order delivery of frames. This is typically achieved by setting the in-order delivery option to true in one of the Fibre Channel switch configuration parameters. All the switches in the SAN should have in-order delivery option to be true. Consult the appropriate Fibre Channel switch configuration guide for details.

NOTE: The HWEnable11i bundle, which is normally installed by default on the 11i OE media, provides the patches that are required for the installation of these mass storage bundles. When updating an existing 11i system, one can install the HWEnable11i bundle and the desired mass storage bundle from the OE media in the same install session to meet software dependencies.

In addition to currently supported cards, the swlist report may contain the product numbers of cards that have been “pre-enabled,” but have not been released yet.
