Hardware Enablement Patch Bundle for HP-UX 11i v2

Hardware Enablement Patch Bundle for HP-UX 11i v2 (HWEnable11i) provides patches required for new systems and for add-on hardware supported on HP-UX 11i v2, including I/O adapters and devices.

Summary of Change

The HWEnable11i bundle for September 2006 includes future HP-UX support for PCI-Express I/O adapters, in addition to the latest changes for the new Dual-Core Intel® Itanium® 2 processors in the following HP servers. Minimal HP-UX support requires other Hardware Enablement (HWE) components from the September 2006 Operating Environment Update release (OEUR) that includes diagnostics, I/O driver bundles, along with the Ignite-UX product. HP recommends an update to the desired OE option from the September 2006 OEUR for full HP-UX support with the latest versions of the manageability and configuration tools.

Impact

HP updates this bundle with required patches for new hardware. This bundle is updated for each release of the 11i v2 OE media. In addition to delivery on the HP-UX 11i v2 OE media, it is also available on the ITRC Web site at http://itrc.hp.com.
