The Installation Settings menu is the basic menu for specifying such settings as keyboard layout, partitioning and software packages. For additional settings, you click the Expert tab. To modify the settings for keyboard layout, mouse, time zone, and so on, click Change To specify the software packages to be installed, select Software. YaST then presents a list of software packages from which you can choose. You can select packages by categories based on the intended use of the system, such as server base, minimum, web server, workstation, and so on. Choose the packages to be installed, then click Accept. The package selection is updated. (See Figure 3-3). From the Installation Settings menu, select Partitioning. You can accept the default partitioning recommended by YaST, or you can modify the partitioning. After either action, click Accept. If you using the Expert menu, you can modify additional settings, such as Booting, Add-On Products, and Default Runlevel. After choosing all installation settings, click Accept. YaST reports the status of the installation as it proceeds. After the installation is complete, the system reboots automatically.
