HP
offers both standard HP-UX patch bundles and individual patches
for maintaining HP-UX systems. Standard HP-UX patch bundles are
well tested bundles of patches for HP-UX core files and applications
that are delivered on the HP-UX 11i v1 OE media for Install and
Recovery. The patches in these bundles enable new hardware and
fix known defects. In some cases, a patch may deliver new software
functionality.
The latest version of the standard HP-UX patch bundles can
be obtained from the Support Plus Media included in the HP-UX media
kit. You can also obtain one of the standard HP-UX patch bundles,
the Hardware Enablement (HWE) patch bundle, from the OE media.
You can obtain standard HP-UX patch bundles and individual patches
from the IT Resource Center:

HP recommends using the standard HP-UX patch bundles on the Support
Plus media when loading HP-UX on a new system, updating a system,
or performing proactive maintenance. For information specific to
the standard HP-UX patch bundles found on the Support Plus media, please
refer to the Support Plus User Guide and Read
Before Installing Support Plus on the HP Technical Documentation
Web site:

For information on how to acquire and install standard HP-UX
patch bundles such as the HWE and Quality Pack (QPK), as well as
individual patches, refer to the Patch Management User
Guide for HP-UX 11.x Systems provided on the HP Technical
Documentation Web site listed above.
In addition, the IT Resource Center is a good resource for
