This section describes the tasks you must perform to view instances. This section discusses the following topics:

NOTE: The version numbers of the products shown in the figures may be different from the version you are installing.

Viewing Information About Processors

To obtain information about processors using the CPU Instance Provider, complete the following steps:

  1. On the System Page of HP SIM, click System Management Homepage, as shown in Figure 3-14 “System Page”.

    System Page

    The HP System Management Homepage (HP SMH) Home window is displayed. This window provides details about the system.

  2. Select 4 items not shown under System on the (HP SMH) Home window.

    The system page is displayed.

  3. To view information about the processors on the system, select Processors.

    Information about processors on the system such as the Architecture Revision, Firmware ID, and the Processor Speed is displayed in the Processors window.

  4. To return to the System Management Homepage Home window, select Home at the top of the window.

NOTE: There is no CLI to view information about processors.

Viewing Information About Disks

To view information about the disks on the system, complete the following steps:

  1. On the System Page, select System Management Homepage, as shown in Figure 3-14 “System Page”.

  2. Select Disks on the system page.

    Information about the disks such as Hardware Path, Serial Number, and Disk FW Revision is displayed.

  3. To return to the System Management Homepage Home window, select Home at the top of the window.

NOTE: There is no CLI to view information about the voltage status.

Viewing Information About Memory

To obtain information about memory using the Memory Instance Provider, complete the following steps:

  1. On the System Page of HP SIM, click System Management Homepage, as shown in Figure 3-14 “System Page”.

    The HP SMH Home window is displayed. This window provides details about the system.

  2. To view information about the physical memory on the system, select Physical Memory under System.

    Information about memory on the system such as the Memory Type, Serial Number, and Part Number is displayed in the Physical Memory window.

  3. To return to the System Management Homepage Home window, select Home at the top of the window.

NOTE: There is no CLI to view information about memory.

Viewing Management Processor Status

To view the Management Processor (MP) status of the system, complete the following steps:

  1. On the System Page, select System Management Homepage, as shown in Figure 3-14 “System Page”.

  2. Select Management Processor on the system page.

    The MP status of the system is displayed in the Management Processor window.

  3. To return to the System Management Homepage Home window, select Home at the top of the window.

NOTE: There is no CLI to view information about the voltage status.

Viewing Information About Cooling Devices

To view information about the cooling devices on the system, complete the following steps:

  1. On the System Page, select System Management Homepage, as shown in Figure 3-14 “System Page”.

  2. Select Cooling under System.

    Information about cooling devices on the system such as the status, location, and the type of fans is displayed in the Cooling Status window.

  3. To return to the System Management Homepage Home window, select Home at the top of the window.

NOTE: There is no CLI to view information about cooling devices.

Viewing Information About Power Supplies

To view information about the power supplies, complete the following steps:

  1. On the System Page, select System Management Homepage, as shown in Figure 3-14 “System Page”.

  2. Select 4 items not shown under System on the System Management Homepage Home window.

    The system page is displayed.

  3. Select Power under System.

    Information about the power status is displayed in the Power Status window.

  4. To return to the System Management Homepage Home window, select Home at the top of the window.

NOTE: There is no CLI to view information about power supplies.

Viewing Temperature Status

To view the temperature status of the system, complete the following steps:

  1. On the System Page, select System Management Homepage, as shown in Figure 3-14 “System Page”.

  2. Select 4 items not shown under System on the System Management Homepage Home window.

    The system page is displayed.

  3. To view the temperature status of the system, select Temperature on the system page.

    The temperature status of the system is displayed in the Temperature Status window.

  4. To return to the System Management Homepage Home window, select Home at the top of the window.

NOTE: There is no CLI to view information about the temperature status.

Viewing Voltage Status

To view the voltage status of the system, complete the following steps:

  1. On the System Page, select System Management Homepage, as shown in Figure 3-14 “System Page”.

  2. Select 4 items not shown under System on the System Management Homepage Home window.

  3. Select Voltage on the system page.

    The voltage status of the system is displayed in the Voltage Status window.

  4. To return to the System Management Homepage Home window, select Home at the top of the window.

NOTE: There is no CLI to view information about the voltage status.

Viewing Information About Firmware Revision

To view information about the Firmware Revision about the system, complete the following steps:

  1. On the System Page, select System Management Homepage, as shown in Figure 3-14 “System Page”.

  2. Select Firmware Revision under Software.

    Information such as the MP firmware revision and system firmware revision is displayed.

  3. To return to the System Management Homepage Home window, select Home at the top of the window.

NOTE: There is no CLI to view information about the voltage status.
