Turning Attention LED to BLINK or OFF

This feature allows you to control the amber Attention LED of a slot, by setting it to blinking or off, to aid you in physically locating a slot. It is not necessary for the slot to be occupied to use this feature.




	IMPORTANT: In addition to the amber attention LED, each slot has a green power LED that indicates the power state of the slot. It is important to recognize the functional differences of these two LEDs.

The amber Attention LED can be in one of three states; ON, OFF, or BLINK.

Steady OFF	Normal	Normal operating mode
Blinking	Locate	Slot is being identified with a request
Steady ON	Attention	Operational hardware problem at this slot

To turn a slot LED to blink or off:

Select a card from those listed on the OLRAD Cards tab.
Click Turn On/Off Slot LED
The Turn On/Off LED page is displayed identifying the selected slot.

Select the button appropriate for your task:
- [Turn LED On] to set the LED to the Locate State, Blinking.
- [Turn LED Off] to set the LED to the Normal state, steady OFF.
- [Cancel] to leave the slot LED unchanged and return to the OLRAD Cards tab.
A confirmation page appears which confirms the action taken or identifies any errors that have occurred.
If you have turned a slot LED on, the [Turn LED Off] button is included on this page. You can remain on this page until you have located the slot, then come back to it to set the slot LED to the Normal state.
Click [Done] to return to the OLRAD Cards tab.
