The Peripheral Device Tool GUI and the help are localized however, in most cases, the commands and associated manual pages (manpages) are not. Display of content in a specific language depends on:

  • The language files being installed on the system

  • The language selected in your Web browser

Not all components are localized into all languages as defined in the following table.

1. The pdweb GUI executes various commands to obtain all of the information that is displayed. Some of the information from these commands is translated into the selected language before it is displayed. Some, such as error messages or card descriptions, are always displayed as English text.

 

Selecting the Language in Mozilla or Netscape

If you are using Mozilla, you can select the language by following this procedure:

  1. Select Edit > Preferences...

    The Preferences dialog is presented.

  2. Select Navigator > Languages from the Category list.

  3. Click [Add...].

  4. If the desired language is not visible in the scrollable list, use the scroll bar to scroll until it is.

  5. Select the desired language in the list.

  6. If offered in your version of browser, select a character coding from the Default Character Coding listbox.

  7. Click [OK] to close the Add Languages dialog.

  8. Click [OK] to complete your language changes.

Selecting the Language in Internet Explorer

If you are using Internet Explorer, you can select the language by following this procedure:

  1. Select Tools > Internet Options...

    The Internet Options dialog is presented.

  2. Click [Languages...], in the General tab, to access the Language Preference dialog.

  3. Click [Add...] to access the Add Language dialog.

  4. If the desired language is not visible in the scrollable list, use the scroll bar to scroll until it is.

  5. Select the desired language in the list.

  6. Click [OK] to close the Add Language dialog.

  7. If the language you have added is not at the top of the list, select the language and click on [Move Up] until it is at the top of the list

  8. Click [OK] to close the Language Preference dialog.

  9. Click [OK] to complete your language changes.
