This chapter describes the tasks you can perform using the HP-UX HIDS System Manager screen. This chapter addresses the following topics:

From the System Manager screen, you control and monitor the activities of surveillance schedules on agent host systems. Using this screen you can:

  • Start and stop surveillance schedules

  • Poll agents

  • Resynchronize alerts with agent hosts

  • Move to other screens, where you can:

    • Specify agent hosts

    • Create and modify schedules

    • View the alert and error logs for each agent host
