After the system reboots, verify that the installation was successful by following these steps:

  1. Boot OpenVMS and log in to a privileged account.

  2. Use the MSA Utility to verify that the controller is installed and operating. For example:

    $ RUN SYS$SYSTEM:MSA$UTIL
    MSA> SET ADAPTER PKA0
    MSA> SHOW ADAPTER
    
    Adapter: _PKA0: (DEFAULT)
       P800             (c) HP                         P98690D9SU80UT Software 4.12
       SCSI_VERSION = No Conformance
    Supported Redundancy Mode:
       Current Redundancy mode: Not Available/Not currently redundant
       Current Role:            Standby
    Cache:
       114 megabyte read cache   342 megabyte write cache
       Cache is GOOD, and Cache is enabled.
       No unflushed data in cache.
    Battery:
       Battery is fully charged.
    
  3. Use the MSA utility to configure and manage the Smart Array P800 controller. For more information about the MSA utility, see the OpenVMS Version 8.3-1H1 for Integrity Servers New Features and Release Notes at:
