| 1.2 Using the Cabling Tables |
| The tables in this document cover all of the supported
interconnect types and configurations. Select a table based on the following
criteria: |
• The number of enclosures and installed server blades,
identified as N HHBL (half-height blade servers).
|
• The type and model of blade server gigabit Ethernet switch (or
patch panel), such as 16-port patch panel.
|
| •
The type and model of gigabit Ethernet interconnect, such as a ProCurve
3500-48. |
|
Point-to-point
cabling tables define cable origin ports at the server blade gigabit Ethernet
switch, and destination ports at the system interconnect. Each origin and
destination is identified by a unique code, and all cables are labeled with
these codes. The following tables provide syntax information for the cable
labels:
|
| Table 1-1 describes the cable
origins syntax. |
| Table 1-2 describes the cable
destination syntax. |
