Syntax Element Definition
PC ProCurve (not all interconnects are HP ProCurve; this addressing provides consistency with other syntaxes used in HP Cluster Platform).
L Leaf or node level interconnect (NLI).
S Spine or top-level interconnect (TLI).
M Module (optional, depending on interconnect model).
P Gigabit Ethernet port.
n An integer in the range 0-99 that identifies a specific element, such as a leaf interconnect (PCL13 or port (P22).
a Alphabetic identifier for a physical feature such as Ma for module A.
Some typical cable destination addresses are PCL01-P01 (for ProCurve leaf 1, port 1) and PCL01-MA-P01 (for ProCurve leaf 1, module 1, port 1).
