Hewlett-Packard is in the process of moving its users to a
standard user environment. Two user environments will be shipped
with HP-UX 10.20: HP VUE and HP CDE (Common Desktop Environment).
Starting with HP-UX 10.20, HP CDE will be the default user environment.
HP VUE will be available with HP-UX 10.20, but will not be available
in future HP-UX releases.
From a 3D graphics point of view, the change in user environments
should be transparent. See the Common Desktop Environment
User's Guide for more information on HP CDE.
Although most examples in this manual only discuss HP CDE,
HP PEX 5.1v4 supports both HP CDE version 1.0 and HP VUE version
3.0.
