Accounting and Logging

In SLIP, there is an option to create a status file which can be displayed by the command pplstat. There is also the ability to record connection information by creating a billing file. Similar functionality is available in PPP by using the acct and/or log options on the pppd command line. See pppd(1) for command line options.
