ktutil — Kerberos keytab file maintenance utility

SYNOPSIS

ktutil

DESCRIPTION

The ktutil command invokes a subshell from which an administrator can read, write, or edit entries in a Kerberos V5 keytab or V4 srvtab file.

ktutil Commands

list

Display the current key list. Alias: l

read_kt keytab_filename

Read the Kerberos V5 keytab file, keytab_filename, into the current key list. Alias: rkt

read_st srvtab_filename

Read the Kerberos V4 srvtab file, srvtab_filename, into the current key list. Alias: rst

write_kt keytab_filename

Write the current key list into the Kerberos V5 keytab file, keytab_filename. Alias: wkt

write_st srvtab_filename

Write the current key list into the Kerberos V4 srvtab file, srvtab_filename. Alias: wst

clear_list

Clear the current key list. Alias: clear

delete_entry slot

Delete the entry in slot number slot from the current key list. Alias: delete

list_requests

Display a listing of available commands. Aliases: lr, ?

quit

Quit or exit from ktutil. Aliases: exit, q

FILES

/etc/krb5.keytab

Default location of the keytab file.

/etc/srvtab

Default location of the srvtab file
