This section gives brief procedures and examples for determining your Superdome server's current hardware and partition configurations.

For more details on partition procedures, see Chapter 4 “Configuring and Managing Superdome Partitions”. Chapter 3 also provides details on obtaining information about Superdome system hardware.

  • GSP command menu commands: CP, PS, ID

  • ioscan, ioscan -Ccell

    Scan and list all partition hardware, or all partition's currently active cells. Shows only active (currently booted) partition hardware.

  • parstatus -X

    Displays server complex attributes.

  • parstatus -B

    Displays summary details for all cabinets.

  • parstatus -V -b0 and, on Superdome 64-way, parstatus -V -b1

    Prints detailed information about all cabinets.

  • parstatus -V -c#

    Prints detailed cell hardware status.

  • parstatus -I

    Prints I/O chassis status.

  • parstatus -P, and parstatus -V -p#

    Provides brief and detailed partition status.

  • Partition Manager (parmgr)

    The Partition Manager utility has a graphical interface and includes all features provided by the HP-UX partition commands.
