Introduction Chapter

This chapter has a number of tables to help you find and compare driver information. They contain the following information.

The products that are supported for each device driver.
The software revisions that affect each driver.
The revisions that affect each formatter.
The drivers supported on each computer.
The graphics libraries that are supported on each window system.
The supported graphics devices.

In addition to the above information, this chapter provides information that is common to many of the graphics devices mentioned in this manual. Here is the additional information that is covered:

How the bank_switch command has changed for 9.05 and later releases
How read/write restrictions affect Starbase color maps and X11.
How to locate tasks for administration of your graphics device.

The following tables provide reference lists of supported products and device information to be used with them.

NOTE: You can have fast access to specific information about your graphics device (product name, device driver and capabilities supported) through the graphinfo utility. To obtain more information about your device, type^[1]:
