The normal flow of execution in a Fortran 90 program is sequential: statements execute in the order of their appearance in the program. However, you can alter this flow, using Fortran 90 control constructs and flow control statements.

This chapter describes the operations performed by control constructs and flow control statements. For a full description of each Fortran 90 control statement, see Chapter 10.

NOTE: The WHERE construct is described in Chapter 5.
