This guide describes how to install and configure the High Availability Monitors to monitor system health. The chapters are as follows:

Audience

HP intends this manual for system managers or administrators responsible for configuring and maintaining the High Availability Monitors (HA Monitors) on HP-UX 11i Versions 1 and 2.

This manual is based on the assumption that you have:

  • An understanding of distributed network concepts and client-server computing

  • Demonstrated knowledge of UNIX

  • An understanding of EMS and HA Monitors basics
