This chapter provides information on how to verify
that SoftBench is ready to use.
Verifying SoftBench Operation
To verify that SoftBench operates correctly, do the following:
For each SoftBench user, log in as that user.
Start one of the window managers supported by SoftBench.
Start SoftBench by typing softbench in a terminal window.
If SoftBench reports PATH problems, refer to “Required Configuration Tasks for SoftBench ” for information on how to set your
PATH for SoftBench. If the SoftBench Toolbar does not
appear or if there are other problems, see “Correcting SoftBench Startup Problems ”.
