Table 7-3 “Recommended LAN Interface Requests” recommends two monitoring requests for each node. With these requests, you would see events when a LAN card failed, and again when it came back up, and you would see an event every hour that the LAN card was down. You may elect to change the polling interval or not to configure a reminder at all.
