This section only describes the required changes to the package control script to support the cascading failover configuration. To create a recovery package on the recovery cluster, the reader should follow the procedure in “Setting up a Recovery Package on the Recovery Cluster”. There is a slight difference from the normal Continentalclusters configuration in customizing the recovery package environment file <bk_package_name>_srdf.env

  1. The PKGR2SYMGRP variable should be set to the Symmetrix device group name that was defined in the recovery Symmetrix.

  2. The DEVICE_GROUP variable should be set to the Symmetrix device group name that was defined in the recovery Symmetrix

Before running cmapplyconf command for the recovery cluster, make sure to split the SRDF logical links, between the secondary Symmetrix and the recovery Symmetrix, for the disks associated with the application package. Run the following command on a node that connects to the primary Symmetrix# symrdf -g <prisymdevgrpname> split -rbcv -v
