SAP R/3 Local Executables

In clustered SAP R/3 system environments it is required to install local executables. For example, starting SAP R/3 instances from local executables is quicker than starting them from centrally stored executables.

To automatically update the executables SAP R/3 includes the sapcpe mechanism. With every startup of an SAP R/3 system, sapcpe matches new executables stored centrally with those stored locally.
