The WLM configuration file is simply a text file.

To create your own WLM configuration file, use one or more of the following techniques:

  • Determine which example configurations can be useful in your environment and modify them appropriately. For information on example configurations, see “Where to find example WLM configurations”.

  • Create a new configuration using:

    Using the wizard, the configuration syntax is almost entirely hidden. With wlmgui, you need to be familiar with the syntax.

    NOTE: Usage of either the WLM graphical user interface or the wizard requires Java™ Runtime Environment version 1.4.2 or later. For PRM-based configurations, PRM C.03.00 or later is required. (To take advantage of the latest updates to WLM, use the latest version of PRM available.)

  • Enhance your configuration created from any of the previous methods by modifying it based on ideas from the following sections:
