Can a faulty cell board be replaced with an inactive Instant Capacity cell board?  Yes. This is accomplished by first deactivating the failed cell board via the parmodify command and rebooting, followed by activating the inactive iCAP cell board and rebooting. In this situation, it is not necessary to obtain an RTU to activate the cell board.
